EDGE Student Massage Therapy Clinic is a supervised learning clinic operated by Western Community College.

Here, Massage Therapy students complete clinical practice under the guidance of experienced Registered Massage Therapy instructors. Every treatment is carefully supervised to ensure quality care while helping students develop the hands-on experience required to become healthcare professionals. Patients receive attentive treatments, longer assessments, and personalized recovery plans.

A senior massage therapy student performs the treatment. (~45 minutes hands-on)

Registered Massage Therapy instructors supervise treatments and provide guidance.
4. Reassessment and recovery recommendation
You receive recommendations for ongoing care and recovery. Total appointment time: 75 minutes

How much does a massage cost?
We have a standard rate of $30 per session.
How long are massage sessions?
Total appointment time: 75 minutes.

Who will be performing my massage?
Treatments are provided by Massage Therapy students who are completing clinical training under RMT instructor supervision.
Is this a registered massage therapy clinic?
This is a student clinic used for clinical training. Treatments are supervised but are not provided by licensed RMTs.
Can I use my extended health insurance?
Because treatments are provided by students, direct insurance billing is not available. Clients with an open ICBC claim may book, but sessions must be paid out-of-pocket and cannot be submitted for reimbursement. WCB (WorkSafe) claims are not accepted at this time.
Can massage therapy help with chronic muscle pain?
Massage therapy may help relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and support recovery from chronic discomfort.
